2001年から2008年まで、ISSEは演劇や芸術活動を通して子どもたちのヒューマンバリューズ（人間的価値）を引き出すことを目的としたドラマフェスティバルを開催しました。これは、地元の小中高校生が参加し、「真実・正義・平安・愛・非暴力」をテーマに、演劇・伝統芸能・合唱などを発表するイベントです。演劇の脚本、演技指導、演出はISSEのボランティアたちが担当し、練習の合間にはヒューマンバリューズについて学ぶワークショップなども実施されました。フェスティバル当日には、たくさんの家族や友人らが駆けつけ、迫真の演技に万雷の拍手が送られ、感動を分かち合いました。

Human Values Drama Festival

 

From 2001 through 2008, ISSE Japan organized "Human Values Drama Festival" which aims to bring out innate human values within. 　Children perform drama, traditional arts, choir, etc. on the theme of "Truth", "Righteousness", "Peace", "Love", "Non-violence".  ISSE volunteers offer supports ranging from script writhing to direction of drama.  During the practice of drama, workshop on human values is conducted to reflect on human values.  On the festival day, childrens' parents and friends who come to cheer for them are moved to tears, watching their performances.
