サティア サイ教育協会（ISSE Japan)

SSEHV教育の創立者であるサティア サイ ババ（1926-2011）は、宗教・文化・民族を超えた人類普遍のヒューマン バリューズ（人間的価値）「真実・正義・平安・愛・非暴力」に基づく生き方を提唱し、自分自身がその手本を示すことによって、世界中の人々に影響を与えました。
インド国内でサティア サイ大学(Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning: SSSIHL)、サティア サイ 高等中等学校 (Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School)、サティア サイ初等学校 (Sri Sathya Sai Primary School)、サティア サイ看護大学、ミルプリ音楽大学など、多くの教育機関を設立しました。これらの教育機関は、全インドトップクラスの学業成績を上げているとともに、価値教育と社会奉仕にも力を入れていることで知られています。
サティア サイ ババは医療の普及にも力を注ぎ、インド国アーンドラ プラデーシュ州のプッタパルティとホワイトフィールドにそれぞれ無料の総合病院と特別専門病院を設立しました。また病院まで足を運ぶことのできない村人たちのために、定期的に地方を巡回する移動病院も始めました。これらは、Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences が運営し、世界中から集まったボランティア医師たちが高度な医療を無償で提供しています。
サティア サイ ババが取り組んできた社会奉仕事業は非常にスケールの大きなもので、長い間旱魃に苦しんできた南インドのアーンドラ プラデーシュ州やマドラス市に水道を引く「恵みの水」プロジェクトを完成させました。この開通式には当時のインド大統領も臨席しています。
サティア サイ ババの活動は、その理念に共鳴する人々によって、インド国中に、そして世界中に拡がりました。教育の分野においては、世界中にあるサティア サイ教育協会(ISSE)が、特定の宗教・政治に属さない非営利のボランティア団体として、SSEHV教室の運営やSSEHV教師の育成、各国の標準カリキュラムにヒューマン バリューズを加えた教育を行うサイ スクールの運営などを行っています。
Our Founding Chancellor
"Who is Sathya Sai Baba?" - His life and message is inspiring millions of people throughout the world to lead more purposeful and moral lives. His love and concern for mankind led to the establishment of institutions in the field of education, healthcare and social welfare which now act as role models worthy of emulation, across the globe.
He has been the Founding Chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (Deemed to be University) since 1981, and moulded generations of young men and women who would be responsible citizens with an ideal blend of the head (knowledge), heart (compassion leading to balance) and hands (skills). In addition to the university, His philosophy of education has inspired nearly half a dozen Sri Sathya Sai Colleges and 99 Sri Sathya Sai Schools across India, and over thirty more around the world across all continents. Additionally, there are over twenty-five institutes of Sathya Sai Education in different parts of the world for providing training to teachers and administrators in the Sathya Sai Human Values Education (SSEHV).
